Interior Design Teaching Assistant Position

Become a Teaching Assistant in the Interior Design Department s part-time role supports course delivery in our Flexible Learning programs.

BCIT seeks committed individuals to fill part-time Teaching Assistant roles for its Interior Design program. Candidates must hold a relevant diploma or degree and have a minimum of three years in residential design. Your primary focus will be assisting instructors and students during course delivery, alongside evaluating student performance through various assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend classes and engage with students thoroughly

• Assist instructors in teaching and evaluation processes

• Support students with coursework and assignments directly

• Grade exams, quizzes, and provide feedback

• Collaborate with instructors on grading policies

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design required

• At least three years of related experience necessary

• Familiarity with design software like Photoshop and Chief Architect

• Excellent organizational and communication skills needed

• Flexible availability to meet course requirements
