Part-Time Education Assistant

Make a difference as a Part-Time Education Assistant at Regent Christian Academy in Burnaby. This role focuses on support for students in an inclusive, faith-based educational setting.

As an integral member of our classroom teams, you will assist teachers in providing personalized support to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities include facilitating small group instruction and advocating for student inclusion as per their individual education plans. Commitment to the Academy’s Christian mission is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a positive Christian role model for students

• Encourage student self-advocacy and independence

• Implement IEP-specific interventions in the classroom

• Prepare materials that accommodate diverse learning styles

• Participate in IEP meetings to inform student goals

Requirements:

• Experience as an Education Assistant preferred

• Passion for working with children and supporting their growth

• First Aid with CPR and AED certification required

• Adaptability and enthusiasm for continuous professional growth

• Empathy and patience in assisting students with special needs
