Step into a crucial role as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Oncology Unit at Fraser Health's Burnaby and Ridge Meadows Hospitals. This position focuses on developing quality education for nurses and patients.
As an Oncology Nurse Educator, you'll be responsible for assessing educational needs and crafting effective programs tailored to both staff and patient requirements. Utilize your clinical experience and knowledge of best practices to deliver comprehensive training, mentor new staff, and support students in their clinical placements.
Your role is vital in enhancing healthcare quality and safety across Fraser Health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess educational needs in collaboration with leadership
• Design and implement evidence-based instructional programs
• Maintain tracking systems for educational activities
• Provide direct instruction and mentoring to staff
• Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with BCCNM
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience
• One year of educational/leadership experience preferred
• Valid BC Driver's License for travel
• Strong leadership and communication competencies
