In this role, student assistants engage with faculty and fellow students while providing crucial peer tutoring. This position requires a solid understanding of programming languages and software for effective troubleshooting during labs. You’ll gain practical skills and forge meaningful connections in the academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist instructors with student lab activities
• Tutor peers on software and troubleshooting techniques
• Support students using Visual Studio and Python
• Maintain a positive learning environment in the lab
• Participate in collaborative projects with diverse groups
Requirements:
• Complete CMPT 1105, CMPT 1109, or CMPT 1209 with a B+ or higher
• Basic knowledge of C++, MS Visual Studio, and Windows
• Full-time enrollment at Douglas College or equivalent
• Valid Study Permit for international students
• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week
