The Academic Success & Curriculum Office plays a prominent role in the Beedie School of Business recruitment, enrollment, curriculum management, program administration, academic student support, and retention programming for its undergraduate business programs. About the Role
The Academic and Student Affairs Advisor provides comprehensive academic advising, program planning, and administrative support to prospective and enrolled undergraduate students in alignment with University, Faculty, and program policies, procedures, and regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting student success by offering guidance on admissions, academic strategies, course and program planning, degree completion, and interpretation of academic policies. The Advisor contributes to the development and implementation of faculty-wide initiatives focused on student recruitment, transition, academic support, enrollment management, and retention, for domestic, international, and other diverse student populations.
The role involves academic support and intervention programming, evaluating undergraduate graduation applications, and developing student-facing materials and initiatives that enhance transition, progression, and retention. The Advisor establishes strong working relationships with Student Services and other university stakeholders to improve coordination of recruitment, transition, and retention efforts, ensuring a consistent and student-centered approach across the institution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Arts and Social Science, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of progressive experience in post-secondary academic advising, student services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Additional Information
Please note this position serves students at both the Burnaby and Surrey campuses. Event support and occasional weekend and evening hours required.
