Position: 1.0 FTE Temporary part-time Grade 4 to 7 teaching position. This teaching position is based out of the Lions Peak
SOUTH CENTRAL INTERIOR DISTANCE EDUCATION SCHOOL 1.0 FTE Temporary part-time Grade 4 to 7 teaching position, beginning September 8, 2026 to June 10, 2027. This teaching position is based out of the Lions Peak Sports Academy in Scotia Barn, Burnaby.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Training and experience working with grade-level students.

- Knowledge and experience working with Brightspace.

- Experience adapting materials, resources, assessments and learning outcomes for student needs.

- Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed.

- Valid BC Teaching Certificate and familiarity with BC Curriculum.

- Teaching category five or higher.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with “Standards for K
-12 Distributed Learning in British Columbia.”- A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs.

- Experience/training in supporting the social-emotional learning needs of students.

- Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

- Committed to working as a member of a school team in support of students.

The starting annual salary for this full-time teacher position ranges from $66,604 - $116,190 , with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
