Position: Part-Time Youth Services Coordinator Role
Location: New Westminster

Transform youth engagement in New Westminster as an Assistant Program Coordinator in our Parks and Recreation Department. This part-time role focuses on youth program development and community interaction.

You will collaborate directly with the Youth Services Coordinator, playing a key role in overseeing the youth services portfolio. This position involves supervising staff, planning dynamic community events, and assessing youth needs to better serve the community. Prior experience in leadership and youth services is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Central and Downtown Neighbourhoods Youth Services Portfolio

• Supervise staff and provide essential operational support

• Create and implement youth-centered programs and events

• Assess and respond to youth needs within the community

• Strengthen community ties through youth promotion efforts

Requirements:

• Certificate or diploma in Recreation, Social Work, or related field

• Class 5 BC driver's license mandatory

• High 5 and Food Safe certifications preferred

• First Aid and CPR Level C/AED certification

• Ability to pass a Police Information Check
