Position: New Westminster Youth Recreation Leader
Location: New Westminster

Shape the future of local youth as a Youth Services Coordinator in New Westminster, BC. This full-time position focuses on program development and community engagement for youth services.

In this role with the Parks and Recreation Department, you will coordinate recreational activities tailored to youth interests. As a community leader, you'll assess needs and supervise a dynamic group of staff while promoting collaboration with various partners. Your insights will guide the direction of youth services and help build a vibrant community framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement youth-centric recreational programs

• Supervise and mentor staff and volunteers

• Manage operations of the Youth Centre facility

• Develop community relationships to support youth initiatives

• Monitor expenditures and prepare program reports

Requirements:

• Degree in Child and Youth Care or related field

• Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

• Hold Standard First Aid and CPR Level “C/AED” certification

• Clear Police Information Check required

• Experience in supervising recreation programs

Lead New Westminster’s youth services and provide innovative programming that addresses community interests and needs.
