Shape future mariners as a Temporary Faculty in Nautical Sciences s position needs a TC Master 3000 GT / Master Mariner for a dynamic teaching role in various environments.
As part of the School of Transportation, you’ll engage in delivering Transport Canada Accredited courses within Nautical Sciences. Your vast marine industry experience will aid in curriculum development and addressing educational challenges. A collaborative spirit and quality commitment are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct certificate upgraders and Nautical Science students in class

• Facilitate workshops, labs, and simulator training for practical skills

• Assess students through assignments and examinations

• Contribute to curriculum maintenance and enhancement efforts

• Work with leadership for resource allocation and training needs
Requirements:

• Hold a Canadian 3000 GT / Master Mariner Certificate

• Significant marine experience on the BC coast preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nautical Sciences is an asset

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Instructional techniques training is a bonus
