Join BCIT as a dedicated Educator for Aircraft Maintenance, focusing on both Electronics and Maintenance programs.
Your role will involve teaching, evaluating, and enhancing aviation skills for future engineers.
In this full-time position within BCIT's School of Transportation, you will engage students in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer programs. Responsibilities include curriculum delivery based on Transport Canada standards, performing evaluations, and ensuring academic rigor. Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to create a supportive educational atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-depth instruction in both theory and practical skills
• Assess and grade student assignments and evaluations
• Review and improve curriculum in line with accrediting standards
• Foster communication among faculty and support services
• Ensure understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations principles
Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance
• Background in teaching or instructional design
• Strong interpersonal and administrative skills
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in education
• Ability to meet the demands of a teaching environment
