Douglas College seeks a qualified sessional mathematics instructor to teach during the 2026/2027 academic year. This role involves teaching face-to-face at our New Westminster or Coquitlam campuses.
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics. Responsibilities include facilitating student learning, planning courses, and delivering quality instruction. Experience in higher education and a dedication to supporting students aiming for STEM careers is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate learning and instruct college mathematics courses
• Plan and manage instructional activities and resources
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student progress
• Advise and support learners academically
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Mathematics or related discipline
• Teaching experience in post-secondary education
• Ability to inspire students and support learning
• Commitment to diversity and equity in education
• Knowledge of instructional best practices in Math
Contribute to a supportive learning atmosphere as part of Douglas College's Mathematics Department.
