Position: Student Career Assistant at Douglas College

Join the Career Centre at Douglas College as a student assistant and support your peers in their career journeys. This role combines event coordination, student communication, and teamwork.

In this position, you will collaborate with faculty and staff, helping to run the Career Centre Volunteer Program. You will play a vital role in promoting services, enhancing student engagement, and assisting with events that connect students to employers and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with training and onboarding of new volunteers

• Manage social media accounts to promote events

• Design promotional materials for students and faculty

• Support logistics for workshops and events

• Compile content for the Career Centre Volunteer Newsletter

Requirements:

• Effective communication skills to engage students

• Proficiency in Canva for promotional material creation

• Experience in social media promotion and content posting

• Self-motivated with minimal supervision

• Currently enrolled in Douglas College courses
