Health Care Assistant Instructor Position

Location: New Westminster

Join Sprott Shaw College as a Health Care Assistant Instructor, where your expertise shapes future healthcare professionals. This in-person teaching role focuses on fostering adult learning in healthcare.

This position requires a current unrestricted nursing registration and at least two years of full-time nursing experience. Instructors will teach and evaluate learners, ensuring they grasp essential care practices in residential and community settings. Additionally, attendance at faculty meetings and participation in program activities is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach using pre-approved course materials

• Grade assessments and provide student feedback

• Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions

• Mentor students during clinical placements

• Actively contribute to curriculum development

Requirements:

• Unrestricted registration with BCCNM

• Two years of full-time Canadian nursing experience

• Proven adult teaching experience or diploma

• Completion of Indigenous cultural safety coursework

• Knowledge of health care policies and procedures
