Salary
Salary Range: $71,846 – $115,129 annually. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

OpportunityThe Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking a Learning Strategy, Design, and Research Liaison.
What It TakesThis position works with all Health Sciences Departments, both faculty and staff, to provide the overall leadership and coordination for the assessment, recommendation and development of educational methodologies to best support education in Health Sciences. Additionally, this position provides basic liaison functions to assist and promote faculty research in Health Sciences.

- Conduct research and participate in activities that inform emerging practices in Health Sciences education.
- Facilitate the planning, development, and implementation of standards for best practices in educational methodology.
- Develop and coordinate policies, procedures, and practices related to the use of best practices in educational methodology.
- Participate as part of the annual and ongoing planning process in recommending operational and capital support for educational methodology in collaboration with the Health Sciences Interactive Learning and Collaboration Steering Committee.
- Identify available external sources of funding for educational activities.
- In conjunction with Program Coordinators/Directors/Managers, plan and develop orientation and learning activities related to educational best practices for new faculty and other learner groups.
- Assist Program Coordinators, Directors, Managers and others in assessing and recommending best practice developments for their programs.
- Inform the Dean and relevant stakeholders of plans and activities related to educational methodology on a regular and ongoing basis.
- Participate in the development of scholarly and evaluation activities related to educational best practices.
- Work with programs to assist in their development and implementation of educational methodology activities aligned with Health Sciences priorities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to acquire and provide expertise related to educational methodologies.
- Develop proposals for external sources of funding for educational activities when appropriate.
- Develop and maintain effective communication strategies for conveying information across all Health Sciences programs and stakeholders.
- Engage in team building and interprofessional activities relating to educational methodology development.
- Serve as the operational and communications link between Health Science Departments and stakeholders regarding scope of responsibilities.
- Collaborate with departments to organize priority professional development workshops related to new or current research resources.
- Explore, recommend, and collaboratively develop professional development activities aligned with workload allocation that best match Health Sciences faculty needs.
- Implement appropriate processes and procedures for emerging trends impacting educational methodologies.
- Provide relief and assistance in operational matters to other coordinators when required.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in health care or a related field required;
Master’s degree or doctorate preferred. - Minimum of three years’ experience as an educator in a Health Sciences or related program.
- Demonstrated understanding of undergraduate students’ educational experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, operationalize, and evaluate evidence‑based best practices in education with an emphasis on online learning methods.
