Assistant Program Coordinator Youth Services

Location: New Westminster

Engage with youth in New Westminster as an Assistant Program Coordinator focused on community service and program development. This part-time position fosters youth connection and recreational activities.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Youth Services Coordinator to offer support and supervision within the Central and Downtown Neighbourhoods Youth Services Portfolio. Candidates will develop community events and programs tailored to youth needs while supervising frontline staff. Your communication skills will be vital in maintaining relationships with community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Central and Downtown Neighbourhoods Youth Services Portfolio

• Provide supervision and support to frontline staff

• Design and implement programs and events for youth

• Evaluate youth needs and enhance current offerings

• Build community relationships to promote youth initiatives

Requirements:

• Completion of relevant diploma or certificate in Youth Services

• Class 5 BC driver's license is required

• High 5 and Food Safe certifications are beneficial

• Current First Aid and CPR Level C/AED certification

• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles
