Become a Language Instructor with ISSofBC, delivering evening English lessons in a hybrid format to adult newcomers. This role enhances community integration through education and support.

As a Language Instructor for the LINC program, you will prepare and deliver CLB-aligned lessons for adult immigrants and refugees. Your teaching will connect students to Canadian cultural norms and practical language skills via classroom and online platforms. Build meaningful lessons that cater to diverse student needs and support their integration into society.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging lesson plans for CLB 1-4

• Conduct assessments through portfolio-based language assessment

• Organize community connections like field trips and guest speakers

• Collaborate on progress reports and individual feedback

• Maintain accurate class records and student engagement

Requirements:

• Degree and TESL Canada recognized certification

• Minimum 6 months teaching English as an Additional Language

• Experience in blended online and in-person teaching

• Competence in Teams and Smart Board usage

• Clear provincial Criminal Record Check
