Location: New Westminster
Embrace an academic career as a part-time probationary faculty member in Biology at Douglas College, starting Fall 2026. Teach foundational Biology courses while engaging with students in a dynamic learning environment.
Douglas College is seeking a probationary regular faculty member for its Biology Department in the Faculty of Science and Technology. The role includes teaching first-year courses such as General Biology and Anatomy & Physiology, in addition to upper-level Biology classes. Candidates may also be offered contract teaching positions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct and evaluate students in Biology courses
• Facilitate interactive and learner-centered instructional methods
• Organize and manage learning activities effectively
• Provide academic advice and support to students
• Contribute to curriculum development and college community
Requirements:
• Master's degree in biological sciences (PhD preferred)
• Experience teaching first-year Biology at the post-secondary level
• Ability to teach upper-level Biology courses
• Proven effectiveness in teaching methods
• Willingness to collaborate with faculty teams
Cultivate student learning and contribute to the Biology curriculum at Douglas College.
