Advance your teaching career at BCIT as a Full-Time Assistant Instructor in Natural Resources and Environment. This role supports practical student learning in forestry, fish and wildlife, and recreation.
Join the School of Construction and the Environment at BCIT, where you will enhance the Forest and Natural Areas Management and Fish, Wildlife and Recreation programs. The position requires a diploma in a related field and three years of relevant field experience. Ideal candidates will demonstrate teamwork, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to evolve with the program's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support courses for FNAM and FWR diploma programs
• Lead students in moderately challenging outdoor activities
• Develop and implement field safety plans
• Assist in marking and support student learning
• Collaborate with diverse partners and resolve conflicts
Requirements:
• Diploma in forestry, fisheries, or related discipline
• Three years of relevant field experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Class 5 Driver’s License and Basic First Aid certification
• Ability to include diverse knowledge perspectives
