Become part of Langara College’s dynamic Department of Asian Studies. As a temporary instructor, you’ll be responsible for teaching various courses that explore Eastern religions. Prepare lectures, update materials, and foster a vibrant learning environment, connecting cultural aspects to contemporary discussions and initiatives in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching ASIA 1120 and other courses as scheduled

• Preparing engaging lectures and educational content

• Conducting assessments and grading quizzes, exams, and assignments

• Offering office hours for student assistance and queries

• Participating in departmental discussions and initiatives

Requirements:

• M.A. or Ph.D. in relevant academic disciplines

• Experience teaching online and in-person courses

• Advanced competency in an Asian language

• Recent research experience in Asia is preferred

• Commitment to the fall semester teaching schedule
