Position: Term Instructors for Social Work Program
Become a Term Instructor in NVIT's Bachelor of Social Work program located in Burnaby, BC. The role requires commitment to teaching Indigenous-centered social work through engaging face-to-face sessions.

NVIT seeks qualified Term Instructors for Fall 2026 to teach courses like SOCW 306 and SOCW 402. Candidates must possess a Master of Social Work degree and have at least two years of teaching experience at the college or university level. A strong understanding of Indigenous social work and classroom practices with adult learners is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach SOCW 306 and SOCW 402 face-to-face

• Create engaging learning experiences for students

• Integrate Indigenous perspectives into course content

• Build connections with Indigenous social service agencies

• Participate actively in the academic community

Requirements:

• Master of Social Work degree (MSW)

• Minimum two years of teaching experience

• Knowledge of Indigenous social work practices

• Familiarity with Moodle, Teams, and Outlook

• Strong human relations and teamwork skills
