Become a Youth Education Specialist with Aunt Leah's and make a substantial difference in education access for young people. Help build pathways toward graduation and success.
This full-time position involves working directly with youth and young parents to create personalized education plans. By addressing systemic barriers and providing advocacy, you will assist participants in obtaining resources like financial aid and tutoring. Through collaboration with educational institutions and community partners, you play a crucial role in ensuring participants have the support necessary to reach their academic goals and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing individualized educational plans
• Advocate for youth by liaising with schools and organizations
• Facilitate educational workshops and outreach activities
• Connect participants with necessary educational supports
• Maintain detailed records and develop cases for youth
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Social Work or related area
• Experience working with youth from challenging backgrounds
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Travel within Metro Vancouver may be required
• Capable of handling confidentiality and professional boundaries
