Student Assistant in Biology Lab

This Student Assistant role is ideal for biology students who aim to gain hands-on experience. You will assist with lab set-up, animal care, and plant maintenance while working closely with staff and peers. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with lab set-up and clean-up tasks

• Care for biology lab animals, including feeding

• Conduct Green House tasks: watering and pest management

• Prepare lab solutions under supervision

• Instruct fellow students on animal care techniques

Requirements:

• Completion of first and/or second year in Biology preferred

• Enrollment in a minimum of one course at Douglas College

• Must maintain academic compliance throughout work term

• Willingness to collaborate in a lab setting

• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week
