Yorkville University’s BBA Program is seeking an Associate Chair, General and Project Management to provide academic leadership and operational oversight across General Business and Project Management subject areas. This role supports program quality, curriculum integrity, faculty excellence, and student success while strengthening industry alignment and applied learning.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate Chair Position
  • Teach a course load within a designated program area, fostering critical thinking across diverse learning contexts. Teaching overloads may be approved in accordance with the Workload Policy.
  • Provide academic leadership and operational support across General Business and Project Management courses.
  • Act as the senior Course Lead across Project Management and General program portfolios, overseeing curriculum delivery, supporting course leads through coaching and mentorship, promoting best practices in instruction, and contributing to workforce planning through active participation in recruitment, hiring, and selection committees.
  • Lead analysis of student feedback and academic performance data and support action planning for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on curriculum development, course updates, accreditation compliance, and program reviews.
  • Oversee curriculum documentation and support transfer credit equivalency reviews related to Project Management.
  • Participate in academic and operational committees and represent program priorities in meetings.
  • Support industry engagement and advisory activities for Project Management specialization, including collaboration with advisory panels and professional bodies.
  • Mentor faculty, coordinate professional development workshops, and assist with faculty recruitment and workload planning.
  • Oversee the student learning experience, address academic concerns, and promote career readiness and applied learning initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership at the post-secondary level.
  • A record of scholarly, applied, or professional research and maintain current knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in general and project management.
  • Background in Project Management or a closely related discipline; PMP designation preferred.
  • Experience in faculty mentoring, course leadership, and academic administration.
  • Strong understanding of applied and experiential learning and industry-aligned education.
  • Commitment to student success, equity, and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry associations, certifications, and professional standards, with membership in a recognized professional association considered an asset.
Additional Details

In accordance with the Return to Office (RTO) policy, Associate Chairs are expected to be on campus four days per week.

This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $115,500 annually, with placement within the range based on experience, education, and internal equity.
