Position: Casual Education Support Role
Location: New Westminster

Your role involves direct supervision and personal care assistance for students with special needs.

Reporting to the school principal, you will actively engage with students, helping them develop adaptive skills while working on modified educational materials. This position offers flexible casual shifts during school hours and potential short-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students directly in educational and social settings

• Prepare and modify educational materials for individual needs

• Provide personal care assistance including lifting and toileting

• Work under delegated care plans from Nursing Support Services

• Collaborate with staff to enhance student experiences

Requirements:

• High school diploma (Grade 12) required

• Education Assistant certificate or diploma highly preferred

• Experience in special education or child care critical

• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training essential

• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
