Faculty Position in 3D Modeling at BCIT

The School of Business + Media at BCIT is looking for a qualified instructor to lead part-time students in the creation of their demo reels. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in the film and animation industry, offering insight and expertise in areas like texturing and rigging.

Your role will encompass delivering lectures, assessing projects, and ensuring a comprehensive learning experience focused on industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in demo reel production for their capstone projects

• Evaluate student performance and maintain records

• Collaborate in course preparation and delivery

• Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment

• Provide constructive critique on student assignments

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in 3D Animation or related field

• Minimum five years industry experience in relevant roles

• Proficiency in modern 3D production techniques

• Previous teaching or mentoring experience preferred

• Strong understanding of industry standards and trends
