Langara College in Vancouver, B.C., is seeking a temporary instructor for its Family Studies course FMST 1115. The role requires collaboration with faculty in developing course content and assignments, emphasizing interdisciplinary learning. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree or PhD in relevant fields, and teaching experience in a Canadian context.
Key Responsibilities:
• Co-coordinate and teach FMST 1115 Perspectives on Family Studies
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and assignments
• Integrate technology and Brightspace for online content
• Foster understanding of diverse family structures and contexts
• Focus on the dynamics of family through various lenses
Requirements:
• Master’s degree or PhD in History, Sociology, or Psychology
• Proven teaching experience in a Canadian post-secondary institution
• Ability to teach Thursdays from 14:30-16:20
• Experience in collaborative teaching environments
• Proficiency with educational technology for content delivery
