Canadian Studies Instructor Role at Langara

Langara College is seeking a temporary instructor for the Canadian Studies 1110 course:
American Power in Canada. This position involves teaching students about the complexities of Canada-U.S. relations and developing course materials. Candidates must be available for in-person classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-14:20, beginning September 1, 2026, until the end of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Canadian Studies 1110 course to students
• Create and assign lecture materials and projects
• Conduct thorough grading and feedback
• Attend Canadian Studies program meetings
• Stay informed about contemporary U.S.
-Canada issues
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree or PhD in relevant field is mandatory
• Expertise in current Canada-U.S. political dynamics
• Prior teaching experience is highly desired
• Comfort with Brightspace and teaching technologies
• Active participation in program initiatives
