Full Time Instructor in Instrumentation

Become a pivotal part of BCIT’s Industrial Instrumentation Department as a full-time instructor. This role emphasizes teaching in various programs with a focus on practical skills and industry relevance.

BCIT’s School of Energy is eager to welcome a qualified instructor to teach in the Industrial Instrumentation Department. The ideal candidate will engage with students through lectures, lab projects, and examinations while consistently refining lesson materials. Candidates must stay updated with industry trends, which may necessitate travel and shift work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction across apprenticeship and diploma programs

• Prepare and present engaging classroom lectures

• Develop and upgrade lesson materials continually

• Maintain strong industry connections for curriculum relevance

• Design and evaluate examinations for student assessment

Requirements:

• Red Seal Interprovincial Certificate in Instrumentation

• Minimum five years as a journeyperson in relevant industries

• Strong communication skills in English

• Basic computer literacy including MS Office

• Previous teaching or supervisory experience
