Adjunct Philosophy Instructor Position

Teach Philosophy at HACC as an Adjunct Instructor. This role combines course development with student support to ensure academic excellence.

HACC seeks a qualified Adjunct Instructor with a Master’s degree in Philosophy to teach semester-based courses. The position entails preparing course materials, developing assessments, and maintaining consistent communication with students. Candidates will participate in faculty orientation and be involved in departmental meetings essential for academic contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare course materials and assessments aligned with learning outcomes

• Submit syllabi for departmental review and approval

• Report to scheduled classes and maintain attendance

• Enter grades and monitor student progress as required

• Maintain weekly office hours for student support

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Philosophy

• Eligible for PA ACT-15 certification

• Higher education teaching experience preferred

• Valid Driver’s License

• Compliance with all HACC policies and procedures
