Working in the Biology Lab, you'll be involved in essential tasks ranging from material preparation to animal husbandry. This position is perfect for Biology students who wish to gain experience while supporting your peers and faculty in the lab environment. Ideal candidates will have completed early biology courses and be eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage lab setup and cleanup procedures efficiently
• Provide daily care for lab animals assigned
• Perform greenhouse tasks, including watering and pest management
• Prepare necessary materials for weekly lab experiments
• Educate fellow students on proper animal care techniques
Requirements:
• Preferably completed first or second year of Biology
• Enrolled in at least one course at Douglas College
• Must hold a valid Study Permit for international students
• Original Social Insurance Number and Study Permit required
• Availability to work up to 10 hours per week
