The BCIT School of Construction and the Environment seeks a faculty member for their Electrical program. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching multiple courses, including Electrical Foundation and part-time students. Your duties will encompass preparing instructional material, evaluating student progress, and contributing to program improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach courses to prepare students for the electrical trades
• Deliver engaging lectures and practical lab instruction
• Support students with counseling and academic guidance
• Oversee curriculum development and program updates
• Work closely with other staff to foster a supportive learning atmosphere
Requirements:
• BC Trades Certificate with Red Seal certification required
• At least five years in a journeyman position
• Supervisor experience and teaching background preferred
• Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
• Effective interpersonal skills and a passion for education
