This is a great opportunity for an educator who loves helping students discover their sound, whether they’re picking up the violin for the first time or refining advanced technique.

We aren’t just looking for a skilled violinist — we’re looking for a mentor who can meet each student where they are and help them build a genuine, lasting love of music.

We’ve recently expanded, renovated our classrooms, brought in new instruments, and launched a new student app — all part of our continued investment in a great teaching and learning environment.

What you’ll do
  • Teach private violin lessons across a range of styles and levels (beginner technique to advanced repertoire)
  • Create personalized lesson plans and adjust teaching style to match each student’s needs, age, and personality
  • Keep lessons running smoothly, structured, and on schedule through strong classroom management
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and staff regarding student progress and goals
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and faculty performance opportunities outside the classroom
  • Collaborate with staff to support student retention, growth, and musical development
Must-have qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of music teaching experience
  • Post-secondary music training or equivalent professional teaching experience
  • Versatility and comfort teaching various styles and technique levels
  • Patience, adaptability, warmth, and an encouraging nature
  • Clear and professional communication skills with parents and staff
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Willing to commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract
Strong assets (preferred)
  • Ability to teach beginner-to-intermediate piano (given priority consideration)
  • Experience working in a studio or music school environment

  • Students feel motivated, supported, and encouraged in every lesson
  • Parents feel informed and confident in their child’s musical progress
