Location: New Westminster
Join a successful heavy industrial manufacturing firm as a Health and Safety Coordinator in Surrey, BC. This vital role requires a blend of on-floor involvement and strategic office management.
You will report to the Director of HR and serve as the primary safety expert for both maintenance and production teams. Expect to engage in risk assessments, ensure compliance through site audits, and maintain updated safety literature. Your experience will enable you to manage robust safety programs and facilitate effective communication with external and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead safety orientations and informative crew talks
• Conduct thorough on-site hazard identification and assessments
• Compile and present OHS reports regularly
• Supervise safety audits ensuring compliance standards
• Provide guidance for disability management processes
Requirements:
• 7-10 years in health and safety roles
• OHS post-secondary qualification completion
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written
• Occupational First Aid Level 3 accreditation
