The scope of our work is to provide third party independent sampling and testing of construction materials for quality control/quality assurance purposes. Students will have exposure to a variety of projects ranging in scope and size from major infrastructure and highways to residential developments.

Job duties will include but are not limited to sampling and testing concrete to CSA and ASTM specifications in the field settings, maintaining CCIL protocols, recording and reporting results, liaising with clients and site personnel, troubleshooting real time compliance issues in the field and monitoring noncompliance protocols.

What we are looking for people who are independence, self-motivation. This position might require long hours in the elements, working side by side with construction crews and suppliers providing real time feedback on the compliance of materials.

Students need to have confidence in their ability to apply the training and feedback provided by mentors and supervisors, into real world scenarios. Overtime hours and working Saturdays may be necessary during the peak season.

• Currently studying Engineering a post secondary school
• Available for Summer and Fall Term
• Ability to lift and control weights up to 50 lbs (this is a physically demanding job)
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to learn customized computer programs
• Strong work ethics
