Overview:
The E3 – Engineer is a professional engineer or geoscientist who applies engineering knowledge to provide engineering, estimating, planning, and quality management services for medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.
What you will be doing:
Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities, milestones, and deliverables.
Coordinate day-to-day project activities across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Prepare, maintain, and update project tracking documentation, including schedules, action logs, change logs, and meeting minutes.
Track project progress and follow up on action items to ensure timely closure.
Assist in monitoring project scope, schedule, cost, and resource utilization.
Organize and support project meetings, workshops, and reviews (e.g., prepare agendas, distribute materials, capture decisions and actions).
Support project folders structure. Ensure project files are being organized as per standards.
Assist with coordination of technical reviews, approvals, and submissions.
Identify potential risks or issues and escalate them to the Project Manager as required.
Support reporting requirements by preparing regular project status updates and dashboards.
Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure alignment and clarity of expectations.
Ensure compliance with applicable project procedures, governance, and quality requirements.
Support interface coordination between multiple workstreams or assets.
Assist with maintenance program process, warranty-related documentation and reviews.
Assist with spare part process and follow up until spares are in the system and BOM assigned
What you must have:
Must have minimum four (4) years of engineering experience working or coordinating work/projects on maintenance or commissioning of industrial equipment.
Must be able to come to office on hybrid basis.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or with another jurisdiction and eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BC
Strong communication skills - field coordination and problem solving are key responsibilities
Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standards
Ability to use standard industry design/analysis software
Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Familiarized with majority of assets described below:
DC power supply equipment (batteries, chargers, etc)
Medium and low voltage AC power supply equipment (oil filled and dry type transformers, power circuit breakers, disconnect switches, surge arresters, switchgear, power distribution panels, etc)
Control & monitoring related components
Electrical protection related components
Compressed air equipment (compressors, filters, dryers, control valves, receivers, etc)
Water passage gates & valves (hydraulic oil powered, motor actuated)
Water distribution systems (pumps, filters, strainers, valves, etc)
Ventilation equipment
Diesel generators
Cranes & hoists
Hydraulic Oil systems
Salary/Rate Range: $58.00 -$71.00 per hour
Term: 12-month contract; most likely to extend
