Take the lead with BC Hydro as a Senior Environmental Coordinator, providing crucial support for the North Coast Transmission Project. This role emphasizes environmental compliance across significant capital upgrades.
In this strategic position, you will manage environmental aspects of transmission upgrades, collaborating closely with Indigenous Relations and various project teams. Proficiency in navigating federal and provincial regulations is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Select and manage environmental consultants during projects
• Advise on environmental strategies and project impact assessments
• Develop and oversee environmental compliance documentation
• Negotiate permits and liaise with environmental regulators
• Assist teams in addressing community and stakeholder concerns
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in planning or environmental disciplines
• At least eight years' experience in environmental project roles
• Strong negotiation and facilitation skills
• Proven background in managing large-scale project risks
• Must maintain a valid Class 5 Driver's License
