Kiewit is looking for an Environmental Specialist who will play a vital role in managing environmental requirements for construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in marine and coastal environmental management with an R.P.Bio designation or eligibility. This position involves regular travel and provides unique opportunities across Canada as Kiewit relocates teams based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage environmental plans and permit compliance
• Conduct inspections of various ecosystems during construction
• Monitor and document adherence to environmental laws
• Facilitate environmental orientations for project staff
• Oversee marine monitoring and protection protocols
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or similar
• Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant environmental roles
• Familiarity with air, water, and waste regulations
• Proven experience with regulatory agencies
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and coaching
