Duties & Responsibilities- Lead the field implementation and rollout of Norland’s HSE Management System across multiple project sites.
- Coordinate and provide oversight to Field HSE Advisors to ensure consistent delivery, engagement, and implementation quality across active projects.
- Maintain a strong field presence while working directly with Site Superintendents, Project Managers, Forepersons, and employees to drive HSE engagement and accountability.
- Conduct field verification activities to confirm Critical Risk Controls and Life Saving Rules are understood and consistently applied at the point of work.
- Identify implementation gaps, operational risks, procedural barriers, and adoption challenges while developing practical field-based solutions.
- Lead toolbox talks, site engagement sessions, pre‑task briefings, and coaching initiatives to strengthen safe work behaviours and HSE system adoption.
- Review and validate JHAs, SWPs, site‑specific HSE plans and critical risk management activities across civil and industrial environments.
- Monitor rollout progress, adoption metrics, field readiness and implementation status while reporting updates to senior leadership.
- Support incident response, field investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives across project sites.
- Collaborate closely with operational leaders, HSE teams and business units to ensure HSE standards are practical, effective and aligned with field operations.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline.
- CRSP, CSP, NCSO or equivalent professional designation required or actively in progress.
- Minimum 8–12 years of progressive HSE experience within construction, industrial, civil or heavy equipment environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading field‑level HSE programs, implementation initiatives or multi‑site operational safety activities.
- Strong knowledge of Critical Risk Controls, Life Saving Rules, incident investigations and field verification processes.
- Experience working directly with project teams, supervisors and trades to influence behaviours and strengthen safety culture.
- Strong project coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and implementation work streams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coaching and stakeholder engagement abilities across all organisational levels.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to develop practical and field‑applicable solutions.
- Proficiency with digital HSE systems and reporting tools;
Site Docs experience is an asset. - Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly between project sites.
Permanent, full‑time position with a typical starting salary range of $102,000 – $125,500 per annum. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as qualifications, experience, geographical location and market conditions.
