Our client — a global leader in rail signalling technology — is looking for a Deployment Project Manager to take ownership of the full Solutions Deployment scope on an exciting CBTC signalling project in Vancouver. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role at the intersection of engineering and project delivery.
Aboutthe Role
As Deployment Project Manager, you will be the key link between the Project Manager, engineering teams, and the customer — ensuring that deployment milestones are planned, resourced, and executed on time and on budget. - Reconcile bottom‑up planning from Team Leaders with top‑down requirements from the Project Manager
- Manage project finances, schedules, risk registers, and status reporting to senior leadership
- Interface with procurement to expedite acquisition and reduce delivery risk
- Plan and lead Deployment Reviews with internal teams and the customer
- Ensure infrastructure design is contract‑compliant and aligned with the Deployment Management Plan
- Support IVVQ test and acceptance activities as required
- Drive an integrated, collaborative team culture across SD and non‑SD disciplines
- 5‑10+ years of experience in railway signalling, with exposure to CBTC, DTG, or ETCS systems
- Background in railway installation, commissioning, or deployment — either as a technical specialist or project manager in the rail industry
- Proven project management skills: scheduling, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication
- Experience leading cross‑functional or transversal teams in a technical environment
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to present to clients and senior management
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Valid driver’s licence (occasional travel to project sites within the Vancouver area required)
- P.Eng. designation (Professional Engineers of Ontario or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Project, Visio, JIRA, or DOORS
- Prior experience with site mobility tools for installation and T&C activities
- P&L management experience
- Location:
Burnaby/Vancouver, BC — hybrid (minimum 2 days in office per week) - Occasional travel to active project sites within a 15‑30 km radius
- Contract position — competitive hourly rate
- Full‑time hours: 40 hrs/week
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to critical urban infrastructure that thousands of commuters rely on every day. You’ll work alongside a world‑class engineering team on a complex, high‑visibility project — with the autonomy to lead and the support of a global organization behind you.
