Geotechnical Engineer in Training (12 Month Contract) to join Young‑Davidson operations. Reporting to the Geotechnical Superintendent, the role is responsible for implementation and management of the Ground Control Management Plan.

• Plan and conduct mine inspections in an underground setting.
• Design secondary ground support (cable bolts).
• Install and maintain instrumentation.

Schedule:

7 days on, 7 days off – 11 hour shifts.

Pay/Shift Range: $62,250 – $101,950 CAD.

• B.Sc. in Mine or Geological Engineering.
• Affiliation or eligibility to register with a Professional Engineering Organization.
• Strong safety consciousness with a positive attitude.
• Proficiency with Deswik and Vulcan, or other mine software.
• Accreditation in U/G Common Core modules.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills.

Bachelor's degree or better in Mining Engineering or related field.
