Geotechnical Engineer in Training (12 Month Contract) to join Young‑Davidson operations. Reporting to the Geotechnical Superintendent, the role is responsible for implementation and management of the Ground Control Management Plan.
Primary Responsibilities- Plan and conduct mine inspections in an underground setting.
- Design secondary ground support (cable bolts).
- Install and maintain instrumentation.
Schedule:
7 days on, 7 days off – 11 hour shifts.
Pay/Shift Range: $62,250 – $101,950 CAD.
Qualifications and Experience- B.Sc. in Mine or Geological Engineering.
- Affiliation or eligibility to register with a Professional Engineering Organization.
- Strong safety consciousness with a positive attitude.
- Proficiency with Deswik and Vulcan, or other mine software.
- Accreditation in U/G Common Core modules.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.

Bachelor's degree or better in Mining Engineering or related field.
