About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Technologist, specializing in the inspection and design of electrical systems, to join our dynamic team. Our projects encompass new construction, renewals, energy consulting, and one-off inspections across mechanical, electrical, envelope, and civil work.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed electrical system inspections and produce comprehensive electrical planning reports, with a focus on future needs like HVAC upgrades and EV charging infrastructure.
- Perform calculations, inspections, and assessments of existing electrical systems.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to prepare Energy Audits and Depreciation Reports.
- Design and layout electrical systems with an emphasis on practical, code‑compliant solutions.
- Estimate costs for electrical upgrades in multi‑family complexes.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technologists to deliver tailored solutions for buildings.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with EGBC, or ASTTBC registration.
- 1‑2 years work experience in electrical design or consulting.
- Knowledge of CEC 2024, BC electrical permitting processes, and relevant municipal bylaws.
- Strong interest in building science and systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits is an asset.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000.
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
