Shape the safety landscape at Hitachi Rail as a Project Safety Manager based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role involves managing safety activities for innovative urban rail projects in a hybrid setup.
In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in defining and coordinating safety strategies for Technical Safety activities. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive safety plans and safety cases
• Interface with customers and technical teams for safety strategies
• Manage the project safety team’s workload and resources
• Ensure safety compliance across all project stages
• Monitor risk management activities and critical path management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field
• Over 10 years in technical safety roles
• Knowledge of safety assessment, validation, and hazard management
• Proficient in project management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
