AECOM is seeking a Wastewater Engineer with experience in Biosolids to join our Water & Wastewater team in Burnaby, BC. This is a senior leadership role delivering municipal wastewater and biosolids infrastructure projects in British Columbia.

• Assist AECOM biosolids design on a key project.
• Support, oversee, and coordinate engineering activities in Biosolids Technology.
• Mentor staff and project managers on technical solutions in Biosolids Technology.
• Interpret project requirements and recommend solutions in Biosolids Technology.
• Serve as primary technical leader within the domain.
• Stay informed of new developments and recommend changes to programs and applications.
• Use creativity, foresight, and judgment to solve technical problems.
• Provide technical expertise to region business line, market sector and business development teams.
• Provide visible industry and technical leadership within and outside AECOM.

• BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in Biosolids Technology.
• Professional Engineers License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Lead process design for anaerobic digestion and biosolids handling systems on municipal wastewater treatment projects.

• Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
• 12+ years of experience in biosolids technologies.
• Expertise in development, optimization, and application of biosolids treatment solutions.
• Strong background in municipal water and wastewater facility operations.
• Hands‑on experience with advanced anaerobic digestion systems.
• Knowledge of thermal treatment processes including incineration.
• Experience with biosolids drying systems and energy recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as biosolids gasification.
