This position coordinates access and use of computer networks, installs web server hardware and software, maintains LAN/WAN networks and computer workstations, monitors performance, implements security procedures, performs routine network startup and shutdown, and optimizes server performance.

• Coordinate access and use of computer networks
• Install web server hardware and software
• Maintain, troubleshoot and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
• Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks
• Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
• Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
• Perform routine network startup and shutdown and maintain control records
• Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
• Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance

3 to 5 years of experience. Knowledge of MS Windows and proficiency in managing LAN/WAN networks, server hardware, and network security.
