As Senior Assistant Chief Power Engineer, your role includes supervising Operations personnel while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational protocols. You will take responsibility amidst the absence of higher management, thus ensuring seamless plant operations. Your certification as a BC Interprovincial Power Engineer is essential for overseeing regulatory compliance and maintenance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the Operating Crew on shifts

• Provide training relief and support to Shift Supervisors

• Collaborate in maintenance and outage planning

• Ensure plant compliance with established procedures

• Manage communication of plant status to management
Requirements:

• Valid BC Interprovincial First or Second Class Power Engineer’s Certificate

• 10+ years in power engineering operations

• Familiarity with CEMS operations required

• Experience in industrial safety protocols

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications
