BCIT’s School of Energy is seeking a regular, full-time instructor for its Power Engineering programs. Candidates must hold a First Class Standardized Power Engineer certification and possess a minimum of five years of recent industrial experience. This role includes providing instruction, preparing learning materials, and collaborating with industries to develop specialized training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide instruction for Power Engineering programs and courses
• Prepare and present lectures, exams, and lab projects
• Upgrade learning materials for relevance
• Prepare, monitor, and support online course offerings
• Collaborate with industry for site-specific training
Requirements:
• First Class Standardized Power Engineer certification required
• Minimum five years of related industry experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with industry software and Microsoft Office
• Instructional experience preferred
