At Microchip Technology Inc., we are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Data Center Solutions business unit. This role is instrumental in enhancing performance and security across our advanced interconnect technologies, particularly for AI server and storage OEMs. You will play a key role in collaborating with product development and customers to drive platform enablement from initial design to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead customer platform enablement for PCIe switch products

• Define technical requirements with hyperscale AI clients

• Drive platform-level debugging for complex system issues

• Mentor junior engineers and provide advanced technical training

• Ensure seamless product integration through collaboration
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience

• Proficient in PCIe, C, and C++ programming

• Experience with multi-threaded architectures

• Customer-facing engineering experience required
