Power Quality Engineer

Position: BC Hydro Power Quality Engineer Role
Join BC Hydro as a Power Quality Engineer, specializing in Distribution Standards and addressing power quality issues. This hybrid role involves fieldwork and collaboration across the province.

In this role, you will leverage your electrical engineering expertise to tackle challenges in Distribution and Transmission systems. As a vital part of the team, you will promote safety while addressing customer inquiries and managing electrical hazards effectively. Your ability to analyze data and collaborate with both customers and technical personnel will ensure optimal power quality throughout BC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote safety by managing electrical hazards

• Travel for investigations and customer engagement

• Collaborate with customers and technical staff

• Gather and assess power system data

• Utilize PQView software for data analysis

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering required

• P.Eng eligibility in BC necessary

• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
