AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer focused on tailings projects from any Canadian office. This role requires proficiency in geotechnical evaluations and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs compliant with Canadian regulations. You'll oversee project execution, ensuring best practices are followed throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in design and construction oversight of tailings dams
• Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability and seepage
• Conduct risk assessments, developing effective mitigation strategies
• Produce and review technical documentation and specifications
• Advocate for sustainability and project compliance with regulations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years in geotechnical engineering related to tailings
• P.Eng. licensed or eligible within 3 months
• Proven experience as Deputy Engineer of Record
• Familiarity with engineering design software
