Engineer II - Reliability

Based in Chandler, Arizona Corporate Headquarters, you will be part of the Reliability Engineering team tasked with supporting the development of new Microcontroller & Analog products and shaping overall reliability strategies and techniques.

• Work with New Product Development teams to create qualification plans and meet scheduled release dates.
• Develop and perform die‑level reliability testing on Microchip devices.
• Perform product qualification techniques for automotive, commercial, and aero/defense products.
• Support the development and qualification of new products and reliability stress plans.
• Collaborate with vendors to develop burn‑in board solutions as needed.
• Demonstrate lab skills with test/measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, power supply, source meter, function generator, network analyzer).
• Apply PCB hardware design knowledge and read board schematics and drawings.
• Follow JEDEC and MIL‑STD reliability test specifications.
• Operate effectively in a team environment while contributing to the team's success.

• Minimum BS with at least 2 years of industry experience or MS degree in Electrical/Computer or related engineering field.
• Strong fundamentals of transistor‑level integrated circuits and device physics.
• Experience with reliability qualification methods including HTOL, HAST, T/C, endurance, and ESD/LU.
• Experience with new product board design bring‑up.
• Experience testing digital and analog circuits in production test or burn‑in environments.
• Experience in common scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.).
• Strong lab skills with test/measurement equipment.
• Experience with DLT/HTOL burn‑in ovens or similar is a plus.
• Self‑motivated with a sense of ownership for solutions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adherence to Microchip guiding values.

The annual base salary range for this position is $76,000 - $114,000.
